Master AI Misinformation: Finding Facts in 2023

AI Misinformation

Some people who had previously centered their worries on social media have now turned their attention to the problem of AI misinformation in 2023. Making terrifying forecasts about AI misinformation taking over the world has become their newest preoccupation, and they have started down this road. These unsettling forecasts center on the idea that Artificial Intelligence I will put humans in danger or eliminate jobs, even pushing once-dominant digital giants like Mark Zuckerberg into the shadows.

These people, formerly called as “tech-ethicists,” attracted attention and book deals by exposing the potential harm social media could pose to society. The focus has now switched to AI safety experts like Elizer Yudkowsky and Connor Leahy who make extreme claims such the necessity to target computer systems in order to counteract AI disinformation.

These previous critics of social media have turned their attention away from the beneficial effects of AI, such as helping paralyzed people regain mobility or encouraging innovation, in an effort to stay current. Others see this change as a type of sensationalism, putting difficult subjects in overly simplified and emotive terms. While some have called for a temporary pause to AI misinformation development, comparing it to the perils of nuclear weapons, others have advocated for a permanent ban.
