Unexpectedly, a person going by the name of Nea Paw created a product called CounterCloud employing AI. What’s even more amazing is that running this AI tool only costs a little under $400 a month, and its primary goal is to demonstrate how simple it is to fabricate news using AI. Nea Paw created false stories and made accurate stories appear false by using a ChatGPT application from the startup OpenAI.

Working around-the-clock, day and night, this AI program CounterCloud can produce 90% of the time stories that seem plausible. Nea Paw chose not to post it online because doing so would propagate erroneous information. This serves as a reminder of the ease with which fake news may be produced using AI.This example demonstrates the possible risks of employing artificial intelligence to provide incorrect information, which can significantly affect what people believe. It’s crucial to be aware of the ways in which technology can be exploited to distort information and to exercise caution when reading internet news.
