AI briefing: Big tech companies develop Google workspace

Naturally, generative AI took center stage at Google Cloud Next last week, a three-day event that follows other major tech events this autumn, including the Apple Event, Salesforce’s Dreamforce, Meta Connect, and Adobe Max. However, it was only one of many AI-related stories in the headlines last week, as the race to construct and control artificial intelligence proceeds at rapid speed.

At Google Cloud Next, Jasper AI was one of many artificial intelligence (AI) generative firms that introduced new products and alliances they have uploaded their data and basic structure over their Github account. New Google Workspace relationships offer the ability for advertisers to generate and edit content immediately within Google Docs and Google Sheets using Jasper. Other firms that have partnered with Jasper include Make and Zapier, which will help automate work across many platforms, and Webflow, which will allow users to use Jasper straight from the visual development tool.

That was just the first tech firm to unveil new enterprise-level AI-powered solutions. OpenAI revealed ChatGPT Enterprise a day before Cloud Next, which provides organizations with new capabilities and methods to protect private data.

Walmart has also begun to roll out new capabilities in the retail world, providing 50,000 office workers with generative AI software. Meanwhile, Amazon claims to be using generative AI to teach Amazon One of the technology giant’s biometric readers that have been deployed in locations such as Whole Foods and to recognize customers’ thumbs.
