Google’s Content Moderation Patent Aims to Improve Online Safety

Google's Content Moderation

Google has submitted a patent application for a brand-new system for internet safety that aims to shield consumers from hazardous or unsuitable content. The method—dubbed Google’s content moderation patent—utilizes machine learning to ascertain whether a photo, video, or piece of text is in violation of any platform guidelines. The ultimate choice is made by a human reviewer if the machine learning system is unsure. By only employing them in situations the algorithm can’t resolve, this could lessen the workload on human moderators.

Google has a nice strategy in place to further their objective of making our online environment safer. They are developing what they refer to as Google’s content moderation patent. Imagine a super-intelligent computer checking images, movies, and text to make sure everything is in order. And what’s this? The ultimate decision is made by a human person when the computer is uncertain about anything. It serves as the internet’s version of a tech-savvy guardian angel and even provides human moderators a break. Isn’t that fantastic?
