Together, they plan to build an AI supercomputer powered by Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip, aiming to achieve top-tier performance. This collaboration will enable Tata Communications to establish an AI cloud in India, facilitating high-speed data transfer and widespread access to AI capabilities. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will leverage this infrastructure to develop and process generative AI applications, while upskilling its vast workforce. The partnership will also catalyze AI-led transformations across various Tata Group companies, spanning multiple industries.
N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, emphasized the profound impact of AI and machine learning on industries and society, making AI a central priority. This collaboration with Nvidia aims to democratize AI infrastructure, drive AI solutions’ development, and promote widespread AI talent development. Moreover, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the country’s potential in the AI sector, underscoring the strategic importance of AI technology in India.
