MSN removed a memorial article for former NBA player Brandon Hunter that was published earlier this week after it labeled him as “useless.”

The obituary, which Futurism first discovered, was authored by “Editor” and headed “Brandon Hunter useless at 42.” Although Microsoft, which owns the news aggregation site, has not verified it, rumors claim that the piece was generated by Artificial Intelligence.

In addition to the insulting headline, the article’s writing is illogical and plagued with grammatical problems.

The first line reads: “Former NBA player Brandon Hunter, who previously played for the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic, has died at the age of 42” according to Ohio men’s basketball coach Jeff Boals on Tuesday.

It goes on to describe Hunter’s rise to stardom as “an extremely regarded high school” — one word — “basketball participant,” with spelling mistakes and strange language.

According to the report, Hunter appeared in “67 games” across two seasons and set a “career-high of 17 points in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.”

Hunter did, in fact, collapse at the end of a hot yoga session, as individuals close to him verified earlier this week.

The Boston Celtics picked him in 2003, and he later played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The forward then played for various European teams before retiring in 2013.

On Thursday, this Artificial intelligence article was removed. Microsoft has yet to issue an official apology for the insensitive obituary.

According to a Microsoft representative, “The accuracy of the content we publish from our partners is important to us, and we continue to improve our systems to identify and prevent inaccurate information from appearing on our channels.” The offending story has been removed.”
